Dear Plotholder,

You may be aware that a group of us at Cole Park are intent on forming an Association for the purpose of attaining a degree of self management of our site. Our reasons are that CIP no longer do so in a manner that is acceptable to most of us and feel we can do better.

We are already carrying out many of these duties including disposal of rubbish, fence mending, site inspections etc., We do not propose to change the arrangements for the paying of rents or the water bills at this stage, if ever.

The Association will not impose any rules which do not already exist under CIP/LBH management. Our primary concern is the day to day running of the site and the ability to apply for funding by grants from various bodies to improve the facilities on our allotments. We cannot take advantage of this without a degree of autonomy as we are deemed to be funded by CIP/LBH

We will be holding an AGM at a time and date to be decided during October 2006, at which we will vote on a constitution, and elect officer's to administer the Associations business.

Copies of this constitution will be available beforehand and will be posted at the gates. The comments of everybody will be welcomed and considered.
