Feb 2007 - Pots from Percy C chitting, just read article on not bothering to chit? Well I'll try to chit anyway.

Planted seed lettuce, early peas, various brassica red cab, cab, cauli and chinese stir fry mix? and Celeriac in upturned bed found outside Northcote Rd gate. Now existing as a glass covered seed bed!

Fox moved some of the seed while I was called to Manchester.

Early March received 48 Leeks from Jim repotted to individual trays and added 28 Elephant Leek seeds. In Shed.

Onion sets and shallots placed in compost in trays in shed as advised by the old lady at Percy C with the milk bottle glasses. She knows her onions.

Onions from last year given wood ash as a mulch / feed.

One bean trench dug and filled with kitchen compost (MMM) half a pineapple still not rotted.

Manure (thanks Pat rotting well) All in compost stays where it is,  some perenial weds and some couch roots,

Garlic planted by Elliot and Charlotte aged 9 seems to be going OK.

Tesco Garlic planted by me last year has revived and may split into seperate cloves this year.

Unsure of what to do with the Spinach, Beet. I'll ask the oracle this week.

Missed the fisrt early plant as suggested in the book.

Will now research planting by phases of the moon.

Missing Spring onion seed and Pink Fur seed pots, should have gone to seed swap.

Got lots of other stuff I dont want ie French Beans, Yellow, Waxy nobody likes them.

Wheather so good I'm setting my alarm to get to water vthe seed bed b4 the sunlight hits.

Sunup at 6:11 by sunday/ also could cool down.

Woosh, this allotment lark is harder than it seems.
