Residents in a Surrey borough have been told their demand for the creation of more allotment plots has been approved.
The development of a long-term plan for the expansion and improvement of the allotment service was agreed by Epsom and Ewell Borough Council.
It is expected to lead to the creation of more allotment plots, a reduction in waiting times and an improvement in services provided to allotment holders.
There will also be a review of the way allotments are managed.
